We are looking for strong, credible, highly motivated individuals who are interested in a new challenge and to become Senior Managers within our My Financepartner back office operation.
You will also spend time supporting the development of My Financepartner solutions ('development'). As a member of the New Business Group you will be closely working with and reporting into Director and Partner Grades.
About the role
My Financepartner ("MFp") is a new PwC initiative where we will deliver a value added service enabled by a hosted accounting and management information system. Our model is based on best practice in shared services where finance partnering is now a well-established concept.
The structure is based on a single UK back office, supporting systems and processes and generating accounts and reports. A number of managers will be employed within the back office, who will deliver the role of leading the production of the key deliverables including monthly management reporting pack.
Our overall objective is to work more collaboratively with our clients by complimenting their existing bookkeeping teams and working with senior management to enable them to run even better businesses.
The offering comprises a unique accounting service that has a number of key components:

1. Securely hosted accounting software that is user friendly and contains a full suite of management information available in real time.
2. A Finance service centre to provide system support to the systems, transactional support and to prepare accounts, analysis and to deliver basic compliance tasks.
3. A local finance business partner who will work with client's business to interpret the historical information and help them to look forward and plan.
4. A fully qualified accountant and experienced business adviser. The finance partner will work closely with the client's management team and existing finance/bookkeeping teams to drive valuable knowledge and insight as well as deliver an independent view.

In particular you will be expected to be responsible for:
• Leading teams within the back office function, including the production of quality client account deliverables, to pre-agreed timelines;
• Providing specialist advice to (client facing) internal staff on core areas of accounting and finance, monthly management information and insight into the information produced by MFp client teams;
• On certain client accounts, responsibility for defining the business requirements pre 'boarding' to MFp, finalising the 'fit gap' and where necessary designing both functional and technical specifications around the solution before moving onto the implementation, testing, training and post go live support phases;
• Leading the adherence to governance and controls within MFp back office including on-going operational economics;
• Where necessary, interfacing with the client on issues relating to the MFp back office service
• Acting as an escalation/ resolution point on any complex/ difficult queries relating to MFp deliverables; and
• Actively driving improvements to the key processes within the function.
• Contributing to our continued thought leadership around finance function operations, processes, policies, reporting and systems;
• Identifying further service opportunities based on a thorough understanding of the client's needs, combined with a knowledge of PwC's capabilities;
• Supporting on business development activities, leveraging our strong existing client relationships, multi-disciplined colleagues and intellectual collateral to develop appropriate solutions to assist clients; and
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior staff at our key clients.

The successful candidate will have:
• A strong finance background including experience within senior positions in Finance Departments or consulting to them, as well as having a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent either part/ fully qualified);
• Led monthly accounts preparation/ analysis;
• Finance systems experience - implementation/ operation of integrated financial systems;
• Led the development of solutions to Finance function challenges; and
• Led and developed teams of people;
• Good understanding and knowledge of
• Business Intelligence/ Data analysis tools
• Budgeting, Forecasting, Consolidation, and Business Case development;
• Used benchmarking techniques and data;
• Understanding of back office transformation approaches;
• Experience of working within a project environment; and
• The ability to motivate individuals
