We are looking for a Senior Associate with the ability
to build internal and external relationships to join our successful and growing
London Inbound and FTSE 100 (top tier) Indirect Tax team.
The IF100 Indirect Tax team includes VAT, customs and
excise and export control specialists. Within the VAT specialism we have deep
specialists who work on Value Chain Transformation, tax disputes/penalties and
Tax Risk Assurance projects supporting national and international projects. All
members of the team work closely with colleagues in Corporate Tax / TP/VCT and
The role will be primarily focussed on the provision
of VAT consulting services to our diverse client base of top tier multinational
The role will be based in our newly refurbished
Embankment Place office with occasional travel to client sites for meetings or
site based work.
The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with
strong interpersonal skills and a focus on relationship building. Good project
management skills and a track record of delivering high quality work for
clients are essential. Experience in dealing with international Indirect Tax
issues would be an advantage but is not essential. The role would be well
suited for an individual with a desire and an ability to take advantage of new
opportunities for learning, sharing new knowledge; and thinking creatively.
About the role
London office has a very diverse client base and is able to provide an
interesting and rewarding experience.
The IF100 Indirect Tax team is led by 2 Partners, who are supported by 2
Directors and a number of Senior Managers, Managers, Senior Associates, Associates
and a TA.
team (IF100 Corporate) is focussed on both Inbound and Outbound markets and the
candidate would gain experience of working across both market sectors. The
IF100 corporate team is an iconic tax team, advising many of the firm's largest
and most prestigious clients on cutting edge tax issues facing their

Essential skills:
• A track record of delivering quality work for clients; demonstrating an understanding of the client's business and relevant professional standards and maintaining respectful client • Experience in building internal and external relationships. • An ability to plan and deliver work against tight • Developed communication skills, specifically in negotiating with and influencing others. • A track record of providing meaningful feedback to help others improve and develop • An ability to take advantage of new opportunities for learning, sharing new knowledge; being intellectually agile and able to think creatively. • An ability to promptly address problems and maintain professional standards
Desirable skills:
• A degree 2.1 or equivalent, ACA, CTA, AIIT or equivalent qualification - part qualified candidates will be considered and opportunities to undertake further study and qualifications may be available.
