Your prospective job:

For our client Microsoft Deutschland GmbH in Munich we are looking for you as Statutory, Tax & Compliance Associate. In this role you support the local Statutory & Tax Manager and local Compliance Manager in all day to day activities and interactions with service providers, stakeholders and auditors in order to ensure compliance with local and global internal & external legal requirements.

Your responsibilities:

• Support timely and accurate Statutory & Tax filings in line with US GAAP, local GAAP, MS Policy and local tax regulation
• Coordinate settlement of tax obligations for transferred employees (in & out) in close collaboration with local tax advisor, HR and Payroll
• Support internal & external audits
• Handle internal donation process and ensure proper documentation for tax purposes
• Responsible for timely and accurate external reporting to Statistisches Bundesamt and Bundesbank
• Responsible for annual reporting to Künstlersozialkasse and settlement of incoming assessments
• Act as interface between employees and payroll service provider in terms of company car taxation and be the first point of contact for related questions
• Monthly review of wage tax relevant transactions and report to OnePayroll/One Finance for proper taxation (VAT/wage tax)
• Contact for Travel Expense (T&E) questions from employees
• Regular update of local T&E guideline and field training
• Be an advocate for strong culture of compliance and proactive risk mitigation and ensure compliance with Exempted-Vendor-List (EVL), donation, data privacy, etc. and Microsoft policies
• Other administrational activities (e.g. handling of incoming mail, PO creation, Single Payment Request, IHK payments, etc.)
• Be a role model for compliance and work as part of One Inclusive Finance Team beyond reporting lines and geographies, leveraging the diversity of our team. Build relationships with internal and external service providers to achieve the best for our organization
• Embrace the principles of diversity & inclusion
• Identify issues in day to day activities and leverage OneFinance for all transactional activities, establish simple and sustainable processes and ensure proper documentation
• Collaborate in day to day activities with internal and external service providers & stakeholders (e.g. OneFinance, Purchase Order (PO) desk, OnePayroll, HR, KPMG, Accenture).
• Support the finance function setting up Purchase Orders and taking care about incoming invoices and other mail

Your profile:

• Degree in Business Administration with major in Finance
• 2-3 years of experience in finance/accounting positions
• Big 4 experience is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details
• Pro-active independent workstyle
• Very good knowledge of Accounting and Tax
• Very good language skills in both German & English
• Good presentation & communication skills
