We are pleased to invite applications for this role within our specialist integrated CAMHS within Children and Families Services in Hackney. You will join a highly regarded clinical service, providing therapeutic interventions to children, young people and their families and providing consultation and clinical expertise to professionals.

Our team is an in-house CAMHS for children who are receiving support from Children's Social Care, Family Support, Young Hackney (targeted youth services) and the YOT. We deliver high quality and effective clinical assessments and interventions to children, young people and their families, as well as consultation and training to social care staff, youth workers and foster carers.

Clinicians within our service represent a range of disciplines, including Clinical Psychology, Systemic Psychotherapy, Forensic Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Child Psychotherapy. We are responsible for providing high quality assessments and multi-modal, evidence-based interventions to children who have a range of complex needs in relation to their emotional health and wellbeing. Clinicians also provide assessments within the Public Law Outline and for the Youth Courts. Training provided by our Clinicians includes AFT-accredited postgraduate systemic training, as well as training for foster carers and consultation to professionals from a range of disciplines.

You will also have the opportunity to be part of innovative service developments, such as the development of Contextual Safeguarding practice to address peer risk issues, and the embedding of Systemic practice approaches across the organisation.

Hackney's clinical service is well-established and has a strong learning culture, as well as ongoing ties to local and national partners in developing best practice. The service operates as three Clinical Hubs, with the opportunity for all our Clinicians to work across Children's Social Care, Youth Justice, Young Hackney and Family Support Services, in line with their professional expertise and experience. Clinicians deliver evidence-based assessments to children and their families on an outreach basis, in their homes, placements and other community settings. This includes individual, family and group work. Clinical supervision and line management is provided within the service in line with professional governance requirements. Specialist training and supervision is available for therapeutic approaches including Systemic therapy, VIG, the Parent Child Game, EMDR, Theraplay and DDP.

Dynamic, innovative, committed and passionate, you'll bring a comprehensive knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with vulnerable children and families.

Candidates must hold a UK recognised psychology or psychotherapy qualification or equivalent, with relevant post-qualifying experience in delivering specialist therapies to children and families from a range of backgrounds. You will be required to demonstrate continuing professional development including advanced post-qualification training in relevant areas and have current UK professional registration with the relevant body.

An enhanced DBS check is required.
