My client is a leading provider of Care, Nursing & Training Services. Training services portfolio includes courses in Health & Social Care, Functional Skills and Assessor/Verifier programmes. These range from CQC (Care Quality Commission) mandatory courses (Common Induction Standards - Care Certificate, Manual Handling, Medication, Dementia, Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding, Care Refresher, etc) to Apprenticeships/RQF Diploma in Care/Adult Care Levels 2/3).
Main duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: -
  • Use Information, advice, and guidance to support learners through progression stages in their individual learning process. Offer continuous impartial advice and guidance to all learners and potential learners. To gain successful learning outcomes for all learners by offering appropriate and effective information advice and guidance"
  • To support an agreed group of learners to achieve the training learning outcomes through action planning, assessment feedback and portfolio building.
  • To deliver the Apprenticeship/RQF Diploma programmes to the agreed schedule and maintain high quality standards at all times, adhering to service and awarding body quality assurance procedures.
  • To meet internally set deadlines for quality assurance checks and appraisal targets.
  • To carry out initial assessment with learners using an agreed range of methods.
  • To negotiate an action plan for the completion of the apprenticeship/RQF Diploma programmes with the learners.
  • To carry out work based assessments in accordance with the programme schedule in order to ensure achievement within the agreed period (this may include evening and weekend sessions as necessary).
  • To coach and mentor the learners, provide feedback and support, and review the action plans to maximise their potential.]
  • To implement training packages for CQC mandatory trainings (Manual Handling, Medication, Dementia, Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding, Care Refresher, etc).
  • To attend team/standardisation meetings as required by quality assurance or centre co-ordinator and keep him/her informed of learners' progress.
  • To liaise with placement providers and contribute to the monitoring of Health and Safety of learners on work placement.
  • To carryout learner assessments in line with the agreed processes in accordance with service and awarding bodies policies on Equal Opportunities and Quality Assurance.
  • To manage all learner work and ensure learner filing and storage processes are followed.
  • To support the promotion and growth of week-day and week-end courses.
  • To carryout any other duties as may be reasonably requested.
To be considered for this role, you should have a demonstrable track record in delivery of Health & Social Care Apprenticeships/NVQ/QCF Diploma and CQC mandatory programmes. You will possess a warm, mature, good interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills. Essentially you will possess occupational competence within health & social care environment and desirable to have either D32/D33, A1 or new TAQA qualification. Possession of PTTLS or Award in Training and Education will be an advantage.
