At St Mungo's our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,700 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
The Homeless Prevention and Rough Sleeping service works across Bristoldelivering street outreach services, services at drop-in and local day centres; as well as the Bristol Royal Infirmary to prevent unsafe discharges. The Service works in partnership to deliver a vital programme of shelters as well as a severe weather response in the winter months.
The Homeless Prevention and Rough Sleeping service work with accommodation providers and the Local authority in an aim reduce rough sleeping to as close to zero as possible and are looking for a Service Manager to join the team.
The Service Manager will oversee the day to day leadership and management of the dynamic street outreach team and shelter programme in Bristol; as well as the homeless prevention services across the city.
We are looking for someone with experience in social care, health or housing, experience of leading a service delivery team, managing staff and volunteers in a fast paced environment and an understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerable people is also essential. If you have a can do attitude, excellent communication skills and is someone who is able to build and maintain relationships within a team; with external agencies, Local Authorities and Commissioners we encourage you to apply.
