Who we're looking for
It's imperative that we can prove recovery after a disaster, meeting regulatory and business requirements. So you must have an in-depth knowledge of service continuity and disaster recovery processes backed by an ITIL foundation qualification in service management. As this is no nine-to-five role, self-motivation is important. You will need proven analytical and problem solving skills as well as being able to display strong leadership skills, particularly when under pressure. You will be required to make key decisions based on your own analysis and the information provided by the team ranging across Technical Analysts, Third Parties and business users. To do this effectively, you'll need to have excellent communication and networking skills. If you are interested in the challenge, you could soon be acting as one of our most business-critical specialists.

What you'll be doing
There's no doubt you'll be high profile. Responsible for the day-to-day service continuity needs of IT services, you'll be a point of contact for service continuity for the whole IT division. You'll analyse existing processes, assess risks and weigh up the impact of future changes on our recovery plans. Then you'll come up with well-thought-through service continuity and disaster recovery plans and integrate them into the business as usual processes. Thanks to your input we'll be totally prepared for any eventuality, equipped with the right monitoring procedures and tools, familiar with service continuity metrics and armed with a well-documented service continuity plan. You will regularly liaise with Service Introduction, Change Management, Projects and ITDR Governance, building strong working relationships.
