SEO Manager

The Role:

This role will be responsible for managing a team of international focused executives to deliver complete optimisation strategies for local markets, reporting directly to the Head of SEO.

You will have a proven ability to work on large scale SEO campaigns preferably at an international level, andmust be a creative thinker with excellent knowledge of wider SEO techniques.We are looking for someone who has big ideas and isn't afraid to try something new, whilst being completely within Google's webmaster guidelines.


  • Responsible for the delivery of search engine optimisation for international markets
  • Co-ordinating the production of SEO copy for key areas of the Farfetch website for international markets
  • Liaise with the technology teams to prioritise and push through technical SEO requirements which meet local optimisation strategies
  • Building a full set of report templates which can be used internally that provide clear visibility for key metrics
  • Allocating new tasks to the international SEO optimisation team
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends while demonstrating excellent SEO knowledge on guidelines and search algorithm changes
  • Manage testing plans for local regions to identify new opportunities in each market around on-page optimisation
  • Take learnings from our paid search department and adapt any insights in organic strategies
  • Train all new SEO executives with the most up-to-date on-page optimisation techniques
  • Deliver optimisation and workload targets on a quarterly basis


  • Ideally, 2+ years SEO Experience either in-house or agency side
  • Ability to construct and manage employees workloads to deliver targets
  • Advanced understanding of Google's algorithm
  • Advanced understanding of all major social networks
  • Good local search engine knowledge in key markets; EU, US, AU, JP, RU and CN
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • An ability to work to a brief with clear deadlines but also to work independently
  • A good understanding of the wider fashion industry, including knowledge of fashion ecommerce sites, blogs and fashion magazines


  • Ideally, Degree related todigital marketing or a creative subject
  • Someone that runs their own blog/website
  • Has worked on retail clients or been part of a retail in-house team
  • Has managed a group of employees or lead projects which required input from multiple departments
