PwC's licensing management team assist clients to ensure they are compliant with software license agreements like this and others. Our global team of licensing professionals work with multinational companies on a range of licensing issues such as Software Asset Management ("SAM"), Software licensing compliance and audit defence. We also help clients identify cost savings by managing their software assets more efficiently and through control and process enhancements.
Our team has significantly increased over the last 12 months and we have ambitious growth plans aiming for continuous expansion. We are therefore recruiting motivated senior associates with strong analytical and technical aptitude.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity within a fast paced team for motivated and ambitious candidates who are willing to prove themselves. As a Senior Associate working within the Licensing Management team, you will assume a lead role in the delivery of license management compliance reviews for multinational software vendors. You will have regular client contact and interaction, often at client sites, obtaining information that will assist you in the completion of your compliance reviews.
You will be fully supported by both your line managers, who maintain ultimate responsibility for the delivery of these programs; and from associates who will work with and to you to ensure delivery. You will have ample autonomy and will be encouraged to actively contribute to the development and improvement of program delivery and efficiency. You will be responsible for your own caseload, meeting deadlines agreed with clients.
More specifically, as an senior associate, you will typically be expected to:
• Manage the delivery of multiple software license compliance reviews to agreed timeframes and budgets, with assistance from associates within the team; • Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues; coaching and training junior associates and building talent with your team; • Provide support to the manager who is responsible for the vendor program; • Work with end users to understand current process / controls in place to manage the software estate; and verify usage of licensed software; • Assess license requirements versus pre-agreed license arrangements (license entitlement); and relevant cost implications; and • Provide support to end-users in responding to vendor compliance audits.
• Solid technical understanding of networks which allow you to work with customers, understanding use of licensed software and where software may be deployed; • Knowledge relevant to enterprise / server estate configuration; • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); • Advanced analytical skills using Excel or other software tools; and • Strong project management skills relevant to assigning tasks to other resources and maintaining project time lines.
• Degree in IT or Business related discipline; • Knowledge of license models for major publishers (e.g. Oracle, SAP, IBM, Microsoft); • Technical understanding of use of scan tools used to manage software deployment; and • Understanding of Licensing, maintenance and support elements of agreements.
