School Crossing Patrol Officer
3.33 hours per week
£14,255 to £14,854 (including Distant Islands Allowance)
A School Crossing Patrol Officer is required to supervise a crossing point at The Clay Loan in Kirkwall. The normal working week is restricted to opening and closing times of the schools, a 40 minute shift in the afternoons.
We are looking for a punctual, trustworthy, honest individual who has a genuine interest in children's safety to join our team. School Crossing Patrol Officers are employed to help children cross busy roads on their journeys to and from school.
No formal qualifications are necessary, common sense is more important for this post and previous experience of working with children would be desirable.
All uniform and equipment will be supplied.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
