PwC is strengthening our Financial Services Risk & Regulation (FSRR) practice as our clients continue to face significant shifts in the regulatory environment. These include new FCA & PRA structures; a focus on retail and wholesale conduct risk as well as greater supervision and more intensive and enforced remediation work.
Further afield, new EU regulations and global agreements enforced in UK are driving yet more reform of recovery plans, derivatives, capital & liquidity, regulatory reporting, remuneration and incentives.

We are strengthening our Financial Services risk & regulation practice as our clients across Banking & Capital Markets continue to face significant shifts in the regulatory environment.

Our expertise is brought together in our Financial Services Risk and Regulation team made up of over 50 partners and 800 professional staff covering the following areas of expertise:
• Risk analytics and Prudential reporting; • Conduct, culture and the customer; • Operational resilience; • Redress and remediation.
Operational resilience is at the heart of what we do in Financial Services Risk and Regulation. We help our clients to manage and design everything from governance and controls to systems and data processes. And this makes sure our clients can provide transparent assurance to their stakeholders that they are doing the right thing.
Business Resilience - Culture and Behaviours
We are specifically looking for candidates to join our Business Resilience - Culture and Behaviours team.
Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM;) Culture and Behaviours team work to help our clients understand how to effectively measure and monitor behaviours. We focus on alignment to a firm's purpose, vision and values, seek to understand what drives behaviour in our clients' environments, and recommend specific improvements to build confidence and improve performance.
About the role
• Leading and contributing to development of new business relationships and business proposals • Managing a Banking and Capital Markets client portfolio reporting to the Partner/ Director Group • Driving and delivering transformation initiatives • Leading engagement teams of up to 10 staff • Managing and building day-to-day client relationships across a complex network of stakeholders and management structures • Managing staff and taking on coaching responsibilities • The role will provide you with experience of working with major banking and capital market clients, where you can demonstrate your understanding of culture and behaviours.
Below are some of the types of work you could be involved in if you join Culture and Behaviours:
• Cultural Assessments: provide support to maximise the value clients can get from their culture. Where an incident has occurred we conduct root cause analysis to provide recommendations • Behavioural Measurement: design measurement frameworks and understand how data can be used • Internal Audit: assist internal audit functions to develop methodology to assess culture and behaviours • Organisational Change: understand the cultural implications of significant change • Providing Assurance: providing assurance over culture and behavioural programmes
Essential skills:
• Significant experience of working within capital markets organisations (specifically banks), with specific project experience in culture and behaviours • Leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully leading significant complex client engagements • Exceptional client relationship, stakeholder management and inter-personal skills, with a proven track record of dealing and influencing senior stakeholders and board level management; • Very strong commercial awareness, sound reporting skills and the ability to work under your own initiative • Excellent oral and written communication skills • The ability to apply independent judgement during engagements and to support conclusions reached to senior level personnel both internally and externally • Very strong attention to detail • Innovates in methodology and delivery around assurance of culture and behaviours • Focuses on quality in delivery and manages client and internal pressures with courage • Shows agility and keeps abreast with news, regulation and thinking around organisational culture and behaviours and share with the team • Demonstrates resilience in challenging circumstances and sees the opportunity in these situations
Desirable skills:
• An ability to work under pressure within an ambiguous environment
