Main Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for any calls relating to Health and Safety and Trading Standards.
• Coordinate and assign appropriate support/contact to any issues raised in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain accurate and timely records and filing system including accident, training and first aid data
• Escalate potential claims liability cases identified through accident/incident data
• Maintain, update and communicate Inspection and Audit reports and statistics
• Coordinate support teams for Home Office such as Fire Wardens, Roll callers and First Aid
• Communicate Risk information updates
• Collate and communicate New Store Packs and Information Updates to the business for all matters relating to Risk
• Liaison with the external authorities and suppliers such as Environmental Health, Fire Service and British Red Cross
• Provide general administrative support to the Risk team including preparation of relevant written correspondence, filing, photocopying and faxing
• Regularly review administrative processes and make recommendations for improvements.
• Organise travel, invoicing and maintain administration within department budgets.
• Manage the administration of the department budgets, purchase orders and expense

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
• German Language essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess Excel skills at an intermediate or Advanced level
• Ability to maintain an Access database and produce meaningful reports.
• Previous working knowledge of Health & Safety /Trading Standards practices would be advantageous.
• Ability to manage own time effectively.
• Good prioritisation skills.
• A creative thinker with good problem solving skills.
