We are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Operations Manager for an international client. The Operations Leader will be responsible for leading our client’s restaurant operations through a team of managers and crew. Demonstrates leadership by living the company’s values, driving a culture of operational excellence with a focus on culinary, beverage, and service excellence and creating an over-the-top crew experience. Successful performance is measured through consistent delivery of balanced results from the perspective of guest, employee, process excellence, and financial. This ultimately leads to sustainable growth in sales and profits achieved through people, personal, business, and results leadership. You’ll already have run high-quality restaurants before, so there will be the usual planning menus, service, rotas etc with some staff training thrown in for good measure. Should be meticulous and exude professionalism and elegance in front of guests, leading your team by example.

Restaurant Operations Manager

  • Take responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant
  • Deliver superior service excellence and maximize customer satisfaction. Maintaining and fronting the exceptional standards and ensuring all your restaurant staff adhere to this. Ensure each customer receives impeccable service.
  • Recruit, train & develop, manage and motivate our team associates (staff). Kitchen Staff management experience essential, as you'll be responsible for the hiring of qualified Cooks and Chefs.
  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Regularly review product, ingredients quality and research with existing and new vendors-suppliers
  • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations and maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health.
  • Manage Client's good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
  • Acute financial management skills - analyze and plan restaurant sales levels and profitability
  • Organize marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes
  • Plan and coordinate menus
  • Set budgets or agree them with senior management

  • Minimum five years of proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager or Three years of Restaurant Assistant Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role.
  • Mastering English and Hungarian languages is a must.
  • Proven exceptional service track record and managing customer service experience
  • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and PeachWorks
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for diplomatically handling staff and customers
  • Problem-solving ability, to resolve issues as they arise.
