Our partner in Vienna is currently looking for a Product Owner.

Job description

  • As a Product Owner you will build new Products from ideas to the implementation, enhance and improve existing Products and develop new ideas based on your experience and your interactions with customers and internal business units and based on the set Product Strategy. You must possess a blend of business and technical knowledge with good understanding of the big-picture vision, and the ability to support the execution of the strategy in collaboration with Product Manager, Business Units and Engineering teams.
  • As a Product Owner for Issuing Host, you work with the Product Manager and one or several Products of the overall portfolio can be assigned to you.
  • You will need to understand the market requirements and the development of Transaction Processing technology landscape; contribute to setting the Product strategic direction and Product roadmap. You will generate Product requirements, determine specifications, set priorities and timetables and assure the successful execution of the product implementation.
  • You are working as part of the product development SCRUM team representing the business view and setting the priorities of the features to be implemented.
  • As a Product Owner you are interacting with the Product Manager, Business Units, Commercial Units as well as all other functions inside Technology.
  • Tasks and responsibilities

  • Managing the entire product life cycle considering strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Responsible for the packaging of the product to ensure smooth introduction, easy distribution and low operational efforts
  • Defines the Roadmap including go to market approach in agreement with the Product Manager
  • Gathering the voice of the users
  • Owns, prioritizes and maintains the Product Backlog (in collaboration with Business Units and Engineering)
  • Defines the product requirements based on inputs from Commercial/Business Unit and Technology strategy
  • Responsible for the delivery of User Stories to the Engineering Team
  • Maintains the Product budget
  • Provides Presales Support to Commercial/Business Unit in front of partners and customers
  • Coordinates and defines the business and technical requirements
  • Assesses Product market feedback and drives Product evolution
  • Promote the product internally and to external customers and partners
  • Manages KPIs for your product and optimize TCO (development and operation)
  • The holder of the position reports to a Group Product Manager
  • The holder of the position works on a daily basis with Engineering
  • The holder of the position collaborates with the Business Units and the Commercial organizations
  • Required competencies

  • Experience in managing software Products focusing on technical skills

  • Ability to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which Products are enhanced and developed

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others to reach mutually agreeable outcomes

  • Strong knowledge of Transaction Processing Systems, web-services and industry standard API s in the retail industry is essential
  • Fluent in English
  • Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experience
  • Solid understanding of agile (SCRUM) development processes
  • Project management skills
  • Wide, extensive knowledge of multiple infrastructure/application technologies including (but not limited to): Web-services, Industry standard communication protocol, data-base, data-centre, API, Application development
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar
