Our Client is a global supplier of automotive parts and a preferred partner to engine module manufacturers, providing quality parts and components to the automotive industry. They are currently looking for an
Operative Director to manage the  production of its plant in Central Hungary.

 OPERATIVE DIRECTOR – Automotive Foundry and Machining
Tasks and Responsibilities
-    Lead the Operations teams to achieve efficient and continually improved performance with respect to quality, delivery, customer satisfaction and cost
-    The Operation Director is responsible for the successful leading of the plant units and ensures stability in the daily business running
-    Manage the day to day operation of the plant through internal reviews, KPI’s  and established plans
-    Develop, implement and manage an operational plan for the whole Plant to achieve the related goals and objectives of the business units
-    Work with the leadership and all team supervised and directed by him to prepare a comprehensive department budget for the Plant and ensure plans are developed and implemented to meet or exceed the budget.
-    Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the Plant, ensuring that all applicable standards and regulations both internal and external are being met.
-    Monitor a variety of performance metrics to analyze trends, facilitate problem-solving and identify and implement corrective actions.
-    Establish and develop the organisation, and continuously develop the team together with support functions
-    Create a positive environment to motivate the management team and develope the plant operations organisation
-    Facilitate, lead and/or participate on a variety of teams to support the Plant and business unit initiatives.
-    Manages customer relationships proactively to deliver overall customer satisfaction
-    Monitors health and safety practices and procedures, ensuring observance of legislated regulations and organizational rules, investigating incidents involving loss or potential loss and taking corrective actions
-    Monitors productivity and quality, guiding or delegating corrective actions and following up on results
-    Support the APQP process to ensure customer requirements are met, problems solved and employees trained
-    Ensure that roles and responsibilities for all the Operations team in the Plant are clearly defined and that the internal responsibility system is developed and aligned with the goals and objectives of the plant
-    Manage the staffing plan for the Manufacturing area and ensure that staffing activities happen in a timely manner


-     Bachelor's or University degree in Engineering or other related field of study, rounded up with MBA diploma or studies in Economics
-     English language skills (fluent in word and writing)
-     Minimum of 10 years experience in production management preferred with background in automotive operations of 1000+ headcount
-     Proven success as a head of operations or other relevant role
-     Minimum of 5 years of production or engineering experience in foundry or machining environment with a strong understanding of foundry and metals manufacturing processes such as: sand molding, core making, sand casting, cleaning and machinig  operations; spheroid graphite iron casting background strongly desired.
-     Strong managerial skills and solid execution power, worked at Plant Operative Director/Operations or Production Manager/Plant Unit Manager level
-     Abilities in target identification, execution, monitoring and corrective actions
-     Proven ability to make sound decisions to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations
-     Excellent communication skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written
-     Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, analyze complex problems and suggest Appropriate solutions, exhibiting good decision quality and strategic mindset
