The Lister Hospital and its outpatient centres are located in the heart of Chelsea, and have consistently provided care and treatment in London for over 30 years. We offer access to leading consultants from London's top teaching hospitals and contemporary treatment, with several highly specialised units including fertility, gastroenterology and cardiology.

With 57 beds across three floors, we offer a specialised service, bespoke to our patient's needs. Our six-bed critical care unit provides dedicated specialised care to seriously ill patients with a range of surgical or medical conditions.

Job Description

The MDT Coordinator will be responsible for increasing capability and capacity for service improvement across the MDT programme. They will work with the MDTs' to develop their team around the patient journey, ensuring the patient and carer experience is central to every stage of their care journey. They will also ensure the MDT meetings run effectively and are well structured and all patients are treated and discussed according to evidence-based protocols.

Salary: £21,000 - £28,500 pro rata(dependent on candidate experience)

Hours: 30 hours/ week (shifts between 7.30am and 8pm)

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate and support the MDT programme at TLH to ensure that it is in line with process and strategy
  • Arrange meetings and catering
  • To ensure equipment is in working order for meetings, liaising with IT Department and external contractor to arrange prompt repair when required
  • To ensure the appropriate documentation and data is produced and circulated pre and post MDT meeting
  • Ensure all information collected for MDT Meetings is added to the patient's electronic medical record
  • Keep Head of Governance informed about HCA wide MDT strategy/guidance from Cancer Department at Corporate Level
  • Monitor MDT Compliance for all clinicians and identify areas where targets are not achieved, undertake process mapping to identify bottlenecks
  • Work closely with the imaging department to ensure appropriate patients are captured for discussion at the MDT
  • To undertake other duties as requested by the Head of Governance
Skills & Experience
  • Good level of education
  • Previous co-ordinator/admin experience within a healthcare environment
  • Experience of organising and co-ordinating meetings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
