PwC Corporate Finance is seeking a Director to join its established Business Services team. The sector team has a strong reputation and heritage having completed more than 150 transactions with deal value in excess of £10bn. The franchise covers corporate, private equity and government clients with extensive credentials in domestic and cross-border M&A.;The team is seeking candidates that have proven relationships and deal experience working across B2B service sectors that could encompass:
• Business Process Outsourcing - IT, Finance, Administration, HR, Marketing Services, Legal
• Facilities Management
• Human Capital - Recruitment, Education, Training
• Professional Service Providers - Engineers, Consultants
• Transportation, Distribution and Logistics
Business Services continues to be a priority sector for PwC and the Corporate Finance team is looking to accelerate its growth in this area. In joining the team you will be expected to play a significant part in executing these growth plans.
About the role
Working as a Director within the team, the role will involve the following:
• Using personal relationships / networks and industry expertise to originate and win M&A; advisory work
• Selling the wider Deals proposition and PwC portfolio of services
• Leading client proposals and presentations as Deal Leader
• Executing transactions, overseeing the work of project teams and coaching junior staff
• Deal structuring and negotiation
We would expect interested applicants to be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
• A track record of completing transactions with Business Services clients on the sell-side and buy-side
• Ability to successfully lead project teams, develop team members and work collaboratively
• Strong analytical skills and ability to think commercially to win and execute profitable work
• Experience, desire and tenacity to manage multiple transactions
• Excellent relationship building skills with clients and staff
• ACA, CIPFA (or similar e.g. CFA), MBA qualification
