At Rolls-Royce Hungary around 100 engineers work on the development of electrical technology for power and propulsion solutions of tomorrow. The highly skilled team competences range from the design and industrialization of electrical machines, inverters and energy storage via the development of system and subsystem control technology to system analysis, integration and tests in our modern labs, but also in real flight environment.

What will your daily work look like
Performing and managing analysis activities for extreme events within the electrical components (Motors and Generators)
Working closely with cross-functional teams to include design, component and sub-system dynamics in order to develop world class extreme event electrical design
Publishing results of technical analysis to increase the understanding of and to improve the system design
Providing key technical strategies in support of and coordination with product design and support teams
Participating in technical reviews, Product Safety Review, Technical Life Review and customer reviews
Accountability for the technical quality of the work package deliverables
Take an active role in continual improvement of our engineering methods and processes
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and 6+ years’ experience with rotating machines and electrical components
Or a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and 4+ years‘ experience with rotating machines and electrical components
Experience in finite element modelling and/or analysis
A firm understanding of structural analysis principles, fatigue, stresses, dynamics, and failure progression assessments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A good command of the English language for both written and oral communications
A high level of analytical ability to deal with challenging engineering problems
A high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment, willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative
Self-motivated with the ability to plan and prioritise their own work
