We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join our client being engaged in the development of new bio-based technologies. The IT Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the organization's IT systems and infrastructure, both locally and globally. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in IT and will have extensive knowledge of network security, data backup and recovery, cloud computing, virtualization and data architectures.
- Design, deploy and manage IT systems and infrastructure, data-related technologies, including hardware, software, and network components
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures
- Monitor and maintain the organization's IT security systems, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems
- Manage data backup and recovery systems to ensure the organization's data is safe and secure
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve the organization's IT systems and infrastructure
- Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Provide technical support to end-users and troubleshoot any IT-related issues that arise
- Train end-users on new IT systems and technologies
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with third-party IT service providers
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to IT systems and infrastructure
Elvárások / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of network security, data backup and recovery, cloud computing, virtualization, and data architectures
- Experience with data engineering tools and technologies, such as data warehousing, data integration, data pipelines, ETL, and big data platforms is an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
- Fluency in English
- Ability to lead and manage IT projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
