Key Responsibilities
• To share, along with the business leader, accountability for the performance of that business function/region/area/team
• To influence, and drive the business strategy, ensuring that leading edge people practices contribute to the overall success
• Identify, and drive the people agenda, ensuring HR plans are aligned with business culture.
• Work with business leaders and line managers to deliver the people plan and always ensure it is high priority
• Coach and develop line managers, building their skills and confidence to successfully lead their people
• Provide a commercially focused, legally compliant generalist HR service to the business
• Represent and contract the division needs across the wider HR community, including the Centres of Expertise and HRSC.
• Share strategies with other HR Business partner groups to create best practice and leverage organisational gains.
• Partner and contract effectively with the centres of expertise to deliver a people plan that fits both local and group strategies
• Champion the use of the HRSC and centres of Expertise and give timely feedback to enable the service to develop in accordance with the required business standards and ways of working
• Monitor and understand employee attitudes and track trends in employee behaviour.
• Lead the delivery of organisation change, and act as a champion for change in business projects
• Use organisational development tools and processes o build a structure and culture that delivers the current and future business strategy , meeting and challenging assumptions
• Manage projects with a high degree of complexity, including organisational redesign and other initiatives.
• Develop external networks that allow leading edge HR knowledge and ideas to be shared in the business

The HR Business Partner role may include work contracted through Centres of expertise on the following subjects:

• Talent Acquisition - resourcing, manpower planning, predictive headcount, retention, attrition, graduate scheme, apprenticeships, interns, employer branding
• Talent Development - induction, technical training, management development, performance management, coaching, talent planning, succession, career paths, high potential, tjxcellence and leadership development.
• Executive Development - induction, leadership development.
• Employee Relations - engagement, advice and support, legal compliance, policy and procedures, absence management, wellness, industrial relations, consultation, diversity, CSR, communications, employer of choice, environment, working conditions, duty of care and health and safety.
• Reward - compensation and benefits, salary reviews, benchmarking, recognition.
• HRIS - HR reporting
• HRSC - second level employee support.
