About us
We have a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our busy team as an HR Advisor. This role is a fixed term contract and will run until the end of September 2014.

This role will support the Mid Market Europe Segment of our business with a pragmatic, flexible and commercially aware approach. The objective of this role is to ensure that we're delivering a consistent, high quality and proactive service to our customers who span across the UK and Europe.

This role will be varied, fast paced, and demanding. You'll work in partnership with managers across the business, within the UK and Europe, providing them with guidance and advice when they need it most. You'll have the confidence and experience to provide practical advice on people matters, considering the commercial needs of the business and any employment law implications. As an HR Advisor you'll be expected to have a detailed understanding of our policies and your approach will be in line with our guiding principles.

Reporting into a HR Business Consultant, your responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of our management teams and each business area. You're likely to be involved with supporting our managers with ER issues (experience of managing complex Grievance and disciplinary matters is required), advising on changes to terms and conditions, supporting cultural change and people engagement, absence management, learning and development (creating and delivering workshops), performance management and monitoring our management information to identify key trends. You will adopt a collaborative approach across our offices to drive consistency and develop best practice across the European business area.

This will be a challenging role, and we're looking for someone who is resilient, has a natural ability to build strong working relationsh ips with others, and has a professional approach. Working well as part of a team is essential, as is the ability to relate to different people and adapt to any situation. There will be a degree of autonomy to the role so the ability to take responsibility and work with your own initiative is essential. Confident communication skills are required, as well as the ability to provide flexible solutions to the business demands.

A good knowledge of employment law for the UK and Europe is essential, as is excellent planning and organisation skills, and the ability to prioritise a busy workload. You will be working towards or have completed a CIPD professional qualification. The role will be primarily based in Winnersh, however will involve a degree of travel to attend meetings and support our people across other locations in the South.

Within our business we have offices in Croydon, Petersfield and Purley as well as the main office in Winnersh. Travel will be expected as part of the role, therefore a full driving licence is essential.
