About the role:
The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support before and after hearings to enable the GDC's FtP Committees to carry out their functions.
The post holder will be liaising with panellists and listings staff from Hearings/ the legal teams to make sure that all participants in hearings attend hearings and have relevant pre-hearing documentation. Another area of responsibility will be to undertake routine post-hearing correspondence, database updating and document publication in accordance with guidance provided. Under supervision, the post holder will also be managing the day to day administration of appeals made by Registration or Specialist List appellants from receipt through to hearing.
It is essential that you have experience of administration, ideally within a registration, regulatory or equivalent environment. The ability to plan and prioritise own work, including monitoring key tasks and meeting strict deadlines, and adapting to unexpected developments is also essential. The post holder will be required to have good written communication skills in order to read, understand and draft correspondence in response to complex documentation. You will need to have knowledge of using word-processing, databases, spread sheets and internet research. You will also need the ability to read, understand and apply relevant procedures including legislation and regulations applying to regulatory bodies and other equivalent organisations.
