The Automotive Electronics (AE) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state of the art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.
Your contribution to something big:
► As developer responsible for power semiconductors modules, based on MOSFET, IGBT or SiC Technology.
► Ensure electrical performance of power components from 100W up to 200kW for automotive applications such as power modules for (hybrid) electric cars.
► Responsible for electrical characterization program definition and execution.
► Provide development reports and power module date sheets based on the characterization results.
► Ensure continuous development of the characterization program.
► As simulation engineer responsible for creating an electrical simulation model for the power module, and running simulations for different scenarios.
► Strong cooperation with other domains (Hardware developer of inverter, thermal simulation, etc.)
► Ensure continuous development of the simulation methodology
► Responsible for validation of simulation methodology.
► Work actively in multidisciplinary teams together with chip/module developers and ECU customers to develop optimized power circuits with innovative/intelligent power semiconductor components.
► Support manufacturing plant in analyzing serial test data in order to identify product problems and to improve product yield
What distinguishes you?
► Master degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
► Three years working experience in the areas of semiconductor testing, or hardware development, or power semiconductor development, or similar is beneficial
► Experience in electrical laboratory is beneficial
► Experience with Matlab and simulation tools (Simplorer, LT-Spice, pSpice) are highly beneficial
► Fluent English communication and presentation skills, German is beneficial
► Self-motivated, structured, analytical, team player with strong desire for continuous learning
