Location: University Park
Salary: £28,695 to £37,394 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

We are looking for an experienced manager to join our award winning University of Nottingham Grounds Team.
We are seeking a team player with excellent operational management experience to work across all of our UK sites to lead the day to day management of the Arboriculture and Landscape teams, advising on and supporting a broad range of grounds maintenance arboriculture and landscape matters, developing and implementing arboricultural work maintenance schedules and allocating and monitoring all arboricultural works.
You will be required to develop and implement our tree management plan and ensure the management of staff and resources in delivering our grounds work programme. You will provide specialist advice, develop future projects and manage the day to day maintenance of our grounds as required. You will be expected to have budget management within your area of responsibility and will participate in management on call duties outside of normal working hours.
Candidates should be a qualified member of an appropriate professional body, hold a degree in a relevant subject or have a proven track record of extensive relevant work experience. A Royal Forestry Society Certificate in Arboriculture or National Diploma in Arboriculture is also essential for this role.
The successful candidate should also have extensive experience of managing arboricultural maintenance works including tree works risk assessments and method statements and GPS tree management systems and have knowledge of associated British Standards in this area. Due to the frequency with which the role holder will drive between University sites a full, current driving licence is also required

Hours of work are 36.25 per week worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged. Flexibility will be required.
