Global Payroll Services Lead
Our client, a Swiss-based company with a significant global presence, is currently looking for a Global Payroll Services Lead with five years of related professional experience including global and team leading experience to join their dynamic team in Budapest.

Overall mission: Develop and maintain global payroll policy while incorporating geographic specific requirements, and supervise the implementation and administration of all company payrolls to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and other benefits for all the employees of „company”

 AS A Global Payroll Services Lead you will be responsible for:
Payroll operations management
  • Manage the team of payroll managers across all the geographies and ensure accurate payroll for all employees in the company
  • Oversee statutory reporting and business controls reporting related to payroll
  • Enable successful co-ordination of Payroll, Human Resources, and Finance
  • Provide expertise to identify issues, develop action plans, and test any system upgrades or fixes with the ERP team
  • Oversee company wide audits including payroll register, general ledger, master file, reporting, garnishments, tax with holdings, exercised stock options and benefit deductions

Payroll policy
  • Develop a global payroll policy aligning to the company’s strategic objectives
  • Governance of payroll policy to ensure site adherence
  • Own the payroll process and policy documentation and ensure it is up-to-date and shared within knowledge management
  • Communicate geographic policies to the regional payroll heads and support implementation
  • Act as an escalation point for process/system issues and questions
  • Ensure compliance to the regulatory norms and audit requirements

Governance, Stakeholder & Controls
  • Interact with operational teams in centres and on sites/divisions
  • Act as escalation point for Tier 2 and Global Payroll Managers as required
  • Work closely with HR to inform, seek feedback and update payroll policies and performance
  • Ensure payroll team performance results in a consistent customer experience
