The Enterprise Architect works alongside the Chief Architect (CA) to ensure all solutions are based on a solid architecture foundation, right technology and that good design principles are maintained. You will be liaising closely with business stakeholders to analyze and develop architecture capabilities to support business initiatives. In addition, the Enterprise Architect supports the development teams to ensure that non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, availability, reliability and security are being addressed.
You have more than 10 years experience working as an architect on enterprise level. You are a team player who offer your help and share knowledge with your colleagues.
As an architect on enterprise level you need to be able to communicate and describe IT solutions in a business friendly way. Equally important you need to be able to understand business initiatives to be able to drive pre-design work and outline high level solutions.
You have previous experience from documenting and communicating current state/future state architecture blueprints and driving the architecture roadmap.
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Participation in design reviews to ensure all solutions adhere to established guidelines.
Identification of refactoring activities needed to address simplifications, performance, scalability, availability, reliability and security.
Establishing guidelines to address architecture design patterns - what patterns are available and when to use which pattern.
Liaising closely with other architects to make sure best practices and design patterns are shared and followed across the development teams.
Initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations.
Supporting business team in understanding new technology and how technology can be exploited to drive innovation.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization technologies and architectures.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies.
