Specialist, ServiceNow Application Management

Hydro has established a new Global Business Services (GBS) unit to operate globally, along the Hydro value chain, and deliver services to all business areas and the corporate center. The services offered include operational HR services, financial services and IS/IT support, with the possibility of expanding the scope over time.  The GBS IT Infrastructure Services organization focuses on delivering mandatory infrastructure services on an efficient and effective way, secures necessary capabilities and knowledge at the required capacity to provide corporate-wide stable and robust services.  ServiceNow will be a key application for the delivery of GBS services going forward - parts of IT and Finance have already being implemented on the platform. To support the further expansion of the Enterprise Service Management scope, we are looking for 2 Application Management Consultants. As an Application Management Consultant, you will be working in an Enterprise Service Management team within GBS Infrastructure Services, interfacing the whole of the Hydro organization.  


  • Be responsible for Business Relationship Management throughout the ServiceNow service lifecycle; service strategy, service design, service transition, service operation, continual service improvement 
  • Support customers with ServiceNow related business cases. Translate customer needs and requirements into best possible, standard solutions 
  • Identify and support implementation of customer use cases related to automation and other relevant expansions and increased usability of the ServiceNow platform 
  • Support customers in using ServiceNow in and effective and efficient way, including increasing customers process maturity through more advanced and expanded ServiceNow usage
  • Be single point of contact between ServiceNow potential- and existing customers and external service provider delivering ServiceNow application support
  • Be responsible for functional support and day to day operation of the ServiceNow Enterprise Service Management solutions
  • Participate in regular meetings with application management external service provider to evaluate, prioritize, approve, test and implement change requests   
  • Be responsible for test management including planning and execution, drive core team activities and other knowledge sharing initiatives   
  • Conduct customer survey/service reviews and ensure stable operation
  • Participate in continuous improvements activities together with CSI manager/process managers and in different projects
  • Participate in Service roadmap development, planning and execution
  • Ensure that deployed solutions are according to ITIL best practice standards 


  • University degree in IT, Business Administration or equivalent 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with IT application management preferably for ITSM solutions (ServiceNow or others)
  • ITIL Foundation as a minimum
