Product Fire Safety Analysis Engineer

Main tasks:

• Intensive cooperation with Fire & Safety department in KB Munich
• Execution of project specific Fire & Safety analysis for brake systems in rail vehicles, considering national / international standards such as EN45545
• Clause-by-clause (CbC) comment to customer technical specifications and review of contractual conditions
• Further development of the database for Fire & Safety analysis
• Observation of future developments in fire safety standards and requirements for brake systems and on-board systems such as doors, air conditioning systems, vacuum toilets etc. in rail vehicles
• Support of CoC regarding Fire & Smoke certificates

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc mechanical/electrical engineer
• Support of CoC regarding Fire & Smoke certificates
• Preferable experience with Fire Safety and relevant national / international standards
• IT-tools
  
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Access)
  • PLM (Eigner PLM, PTC Windchill)
  • CAD-System
• Language:
  
  • Fit for negotiation in English is required
  • Good communication in foreign language(s)
• Motivated and precise work
• Good cooperation skill

Preferred qualifications:

• Fluent German knowledge
• Knowledge of Rail Vehicle Systems is advantage
