EDI System Junior Manager

The EDI Junior Manager reports to EDI Process Lead Manager and has multiple direct reports.
Purpose of Role
The purpose of the role is to ensure that EDI processes; new implementations are handled in a professional and timely manner across the organisation.
Lead and motivate a team of process and technical experts (including external consultants and 3rd party service providers) at multiple locations to ensure smooth EDI operations and new roll-outs globally. On top of the global process focus, the team requires special, market specific knowledge on OTC and Master Data areas and is responsible to provide technical support for issue resolution to the EDI markets and customers. The role holder is also expected to ensure that EDI maps are built in a compliant way and in line with Diageo and legal standards.
• Drive end-to-end efficiency of the EDI process
• Develop and maintain an agreed strategy for the expansion of EDI usage including new message types and messages
• Ensure smooth EDI operations by capability building, trainings and issue resolution support towards EDI markets and customers
• Ensure that the maps built are compliant with the customer EDI specifications, with Diageo standards and are in line with legal requirements
• Relationship management with 3rd party service providers, Diageo IMCs and Shared Services
Qualifications and experience required
Track record of quality people management
Very strong knowledge of electronic technologies EDI (ANSI X12, TRADACOM & EDIFACT) & XML and Communication protocols (AS1, AS2, FTP, SFTP, HTTPs).
Must have a working knowledge of SAP IDOC’s
At least 2 years of change or project management experience
Qualification of University / College degree, preferably in IT
Proven ability to manage a global team, including business managers, executive stakeholders, technical experts and service providers
Excellent business English knowledge
Ability to motivate and influence people in a changing environment
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Global ways of working – global thinking, local implementation
Track record of success in building EDI solutions
Familiarity with the current EDI application software (Gentran)
Ability to represent complex technical issues in an understandable way for wider audience
Prior experience with SAP, IDOC & RFC’s
