About the roles
Our Deals team are looking to identify the right individuals to play a key role in the continued development and growth of our already successful client offerings. These are all Belfast based roles with an element of travel required.
Forensic Services - Manager
Our Forensic Services team perform forensic based royalty examinations for prestigious, global licensors including those involved in the technology, entertainment and media, consumer products, software and pharmaceutical industries. Our investigative reviews help companies maximise revenue from their Intellectual Property through the development and implementation of licensing management programmes including best business practices, strategies for managing, monitoring and enforcing licence portfolios and forensic based royalty examinations.
Your role as a Manager: This role will provide you with exciting and interesting investigative work, where you will gain exposure to high profile complex and judgmental issues as well as short term travel to different countries. You will be responsible for managing the day to day oversight of client projects and teams; and to help grow the practice further, you will also be required to provide business development support, in addition to training and coaching more junior members of staff.
Business Recovery Services - Senior Associate
The Business Recovery Services team is one of the leading team of advisors to the stakeholders of underperforming businesses in Northern Ireland. The team operates across all segments of the market providing advisory and insolvency services to companies, lenders, creditors and individuals in troubled financial situations. Our services include turnaround implementation, financial, operational and strategic advice, optimised exit services, accelerated mergers and acquisitions, solvent reconstructions, receivables management, receiverships, administrations, liquidations and bankruptcy.
Your role as a Senior Associate: As part of the Advisory team working across a range of assignments, you will be involved in the provision of business review / forecasting models to clients. You will liaise with clients directly and may be required to work alongside clients at their place of work: assessing, challenging and advising on business solutions and commercial viability of the business. You will communicate findings in concise, written reports and you will also have the opportunity to support further business growth through business development activities. activities.
Transaction Services - Senior Associate
Our Transaction Services team helps companies make acquisitions or divestments, form strategic alliances and access capital. It advises on deals with values ranging from £1 million to over £1 billion and our specialist teams are uniquely placed to advise at all stages of a deal from strategic inception through to due diligence to post deal. Our role can provide you with the opportunity to work on both corporate and private equity transactions that will be high profile, demanding, varied and challenging. There will also be opportunities to work with colleagues in other regions of the UK & Ireland.
Your role as a Senior Associate: Gaining an understanding of M&A; transaction activity, you will increasingly build up investigative and deal experience by assisting the team with your excellent analytical skills and modelling techniques. Working closely with more senior members of the team, you will gain a solid understanding of due diligence processes including dealing with risk.
Requirements for all roles
• ACA or equivalent professional qualification with a broad range of audit experience including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments. Candidates who are studying for final examinations will be considered for the Transaction Services role; • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation skills) as well as the ability to liaise effectively at all levels and proven experience working in a client facing role; • Exceptional team working skills and the ability to coach and develop others; • Strong analytical skills (identifies issues, understands complex problems, draws sound conclusions); • Enthusiastic and diligent with a flexible approach in a rapidly changing environment ; • Good IT skills with proven experience in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel; and • Strong commercial acumen.
Specific to Forensic Services role
• An audit background with proven experience at manager level or significant experience in leading the delivery of successful audits is required.
Specific to Business Recovery Services role
• Previous experience in performing business recovery, business reviews. or strong desire to develop in this area.
