They are a dynamic and growing company with around 1780 passionate people of 40 different nationalities. Most of them work in the operational Head Office in Malta but they also have other offices around the world, for example in Stockholm, Tbilisi and Tallinn.
The function of the Data Scientist is to analyze huge amounts of data, extract business insights and build predictive and descriptive models that will add real value to our client.
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Demonstrate expertise in the use of data science tools such as R, SQL, Python, Spark and Big Data technologies.
Create and validate machine learning methods and statistical models that deliver insight about what delights our customers, where we have opportunities to do more and how to maximize revenues.
Design and test algorithms that automate customer and business insight and generate action at various touch points on and off the website and mobile apps.
Write clean code for use by engineers and other analysts in the organization.
Define data needs for the Data team and other teams in the DNA setup.
Uncover new opportunities and insights to improve how the client improves its customer experience.
Be up to speed with industry trends, evolving technologies and data sources to help enhance data.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics is preferred.
Demonstrable experience of extracting, transforming and working with large sets of data.
Data Analyst / Scientist, who has excels at ad-hoc and systematic solutions.
Experience with advanced analytic techniques such as decision trees, support vector machines, clustering, neural networks and multivariate regression.
Understanding of database structures and data mining techniques
Excellent analytical skills (like SQL, R, Python)
Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
Commercially minded with excellent presentation and communication skills
Good project management skills
Passion for digital business, mobile, media and emerging technologies
Ideally knowledge and experience of big data technologies such as Hadoop and big data analytics
Analytical experience in marketing /customer database analytics such as: analytic segmentation, direct marketing test design, response analysis, measurement strategy development, ROI analysis, financial modeling.
