We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate to join our corporate tax team, based in the South East Region in our North Cluster (St Albans and Uxbridge office).
Our South East Region also includes offices in Reading, Norwich, Southampton, Cambridge and Gatwick, and the role will require some ad hoc travel to the other offices, depending on our business and client needs. Therefore, a car is essential.
About the role
Our team provides specialist tax advice to a diverse range of clients. Our client base ranges from listed companies, private equity backed groups, Inbound groups and privately owned businesses. The work is technically demanding and creative, and offers opportunities to work on major corporate transactions, international structuring, a range of day-to-day UK tax matters and audit of tax work. Tax return preparation is not done by the team.
You will be responsible for building close relationships with a wide range of clients, working as part of a team and delivering the Firm's tax services. You will benefit from a progressive environment where you will be encouraged to develop client relationship, technical and people management skills. There will also be opportunities to develop deeper knowledge in particular areas of interest such as international structuring and finance and treasury tax.

The client work is technically stimulating, rarely routine and offers opportunities to help solve the tax and business issues faced by our clients. The work is wide-ranging including major corporate transactions, cross-border structuring projects and providing domestic and international advice.
As a Senior Associate you will have the opportunity to work with experienced Senior Managers, Directors and Partners on your client teams. The team will provide you with the opportunity to put into practice your tax technical skills in a stimulating and challenging environment.
You will work with a portfolio of clients, and on a day-to-day basis will work with these client teams delivering tax services. Client teams range in size depending on the client and nature of the work. In addition, you will have a People Manager who will manage your performance, well-being and development.
In terms of development opportunities, you will be able to progress your career in the Firm through gaining wide-ranging experience across industries and locations. Being a global organisation we are able to offer staff the opportunity to go on international secondments and there are further options to develop technically and professionally through varied client secondments
The requirements for the role are as follows:
• Qualified ACA / CTA (or equivalent)
• A strong academic background;
• Relevant experience gained ideally in an accountancy / legal firm;
• A commitment to continuing to enhance technical and other knowledge and skills;
• Willingness to take on new and challenging work;
• Risk awareness;
• Excellent team playing skills;
• Good communication skills;
• Self-motivation; and
• Good organisational and people skills.
