With a broad range of Inbound, Plc and middle market companies, our Glasgow office is looking for a Corporate Tax Manager seeking to advance their career.
Are you interested in strengthening your technical, consultancy and client relationship skills? The vast majority of our compliance work is managed by dedicated compliance teams across the UK and therefore we offer exposure to a high standard of advisory work on a varied client portfolio with great opportunities for career advancement.
There are also significant opportunities to assist the leadership team in developing the tax practice in marketing and business development.

About the role
The successful candidate will have day-to-day responsibility for managing on-going client relationships, winning and developing work across all aspects of tax as well as undertaking one-off advisory projects. You would also be part of our Innovations Group which includes specialists in R&D; and Patent Box.
Managing a varied client portfolio and one off projects will be an essential part of your role which will also include responsibility for managing more junior members of staff in your team. You will provide your client with excellent tax advice, concentrating mainly on corporate tax but bringing in other specialists and services as appropriate.
The Glasgow team offers the opportunity to work on a challenging and varied client portfolio. You will be given the opportunity to work closely with specialists in particular areas such as international structuring, finance and treasury, research and development and transfer pricing, The successful candidate will have a strong UK corporate and international tax knowledge, combined with the ability to provide a commercial tax service to our clients and to lead teams of highly motivated people.

• Qualified ACA / CTA (or equivalent) (pre-time qualification will be considered)
• A strong academic background
• Relevant experience gained ideally in an accountancy / legal firm
• A commitment to continuing to enhance technical and other knowledge and skills
• Willingness to take on new and challenging work
• Risk awareness
• Excellent team playing skills
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivation and
• Good organisational and people skills
• Up to date UK Corporate Tax experience, however we are open to hearing from qualified professionals with a different accountancy background (such as audit)
• The capability to demonstrate wider commercial awareness.
