In support of our growth, PwC's Consulting practice is currently recruiting into its Operational Finance Consulting team Managers who will focus on the Government and Public Services (G&PS;) sector.
As a Manager you are expected to primarily work on client engagements, contributing to and leading aspects of finance change projects, although you will also spend time developing operational finance solutions in the G&PS; area. As a member of the G&PS; Finance Consulting Group you will be closely working with and reporting into Senior Managers, Director and Partner Grade

We help clients with a diverse range of issues including:
• Finance function strategy and design, including assessing and improving key finance processes
• OMF Design and implementation
• Feasibility studies and business case development
• Cost and Financial models
• Cost reduction identification and delivery including robust benefit realisation plans
• Baselining, benchmarking and KPI's

Need to travel/overnight stays away from home (Yes - regularly)
The following skills are required for this role:
Essential skills needed for the role:
• Education to degree level plus either formal accounting qualification or equivalent
• Relevant knowledge of the national government services market and its key issues and challenges
• Security clearance or ability to undergo vetting
• Experienced user of Microsoft Excel for analytical review and financial analysis of data
• Experienced in the management and delivery of change projects
• Developed solutions to challenges faced by finance functions in one or more of the following areas:
• OMF assessment and design
• Process design
• Business case development
• Ability to manage senior stakeholders and build relationships
• Developed solutions
Desirable skills sought for the role:
• Knowledge of Treasury's Business Case requirements , Managing Public Money and the FReM
• Experience of application of Lean to process / cost optimisation
