The Potters Bar is popular with locals and visitors alike for great pub food and carefully selected range of real ales.

Trading Area and Private Accommodation
Potters Bar is a 120 cover pub which benefitted from a full refurbishment only three years ago. The pub is a one room operation with different trading areas to cater for a variety of customer groups. Externally the pub provides a large car park, smoking shelter and patio.

The private accommodation comprises three bedrooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen and bathroom.

Customer Base and the Local Area
Potters Bar is situated on a busy 'A' road, a short distance from the A50 and adjacent to a large industrial estate. The pub currently attracts locals, families, couples and visiting senior citizens.

Business Potential
Sales currently average around £12,000 (excluding VAT) per week with a 60/40 wet/dry sales mix. We are looking for a manager with good organisational and upselling skills, coupled with team building and the ability to maintain excellent standards throughout at all times while managing a mixed customer base.

Person requirements
To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience of running a high-volume pub restaurant operation trading in excess of £10,000 per week. You will be passionate about the industry with an ability to channel this enthusiasm into your team, developing the business through your experience and knowledge. In addition to these skills you will need:

• A Personal Licence
• Experience of running a pub with 1000+ covers per week
• The ability to recruit, manage and develop a large team of 15+ employees
• Profit and loss account responsibility
• A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Manager in a Retail, Hospitality or Catering environment.
