These include new FCA & PRA structures; a focus on retail and wholesale conduct risk as well as greater supervision and more intensive and enforced remediation work.
Further afield, new EU regulations and global agreements enforced in UK are driving yet more reform of recovery plans, derivatives, capital & liquidity, regulatory reporting, remuneration and incentives.

Our Financial Services Risk and Regulation team is made up of over 50 partners and 800 professional staff and our numbers and capabilities are expanding every day.

Commercial Assurance helps our clients assess, manage and improve these relationships in areas such as contract risk, supplier risk, outsourcing, sourcing and supply chain. Our clients seek advice and services across a range of risk areas including information security, data privacy, financial stability, cost management and continuity.
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within FSRR for a Senior Associate in the Commercial Assurance offering.
Commercial Assurance is one of the more rapidly growing Risk Assurance Solutions. It is one of the key Risk Assurance offerings.
The Commercial Assurance team are experts in supporting clients to manage their Third Party relationships. They also support clients to manage commercial risks and maximise their commercial opportunities. The role holder will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Assurance Solution Leader to grow this relatively immature solution and manage the team.
Project Assurance is another of the Risk Assurance solutions, although one which is more mature than Commercial Assurance. The Project Assurance team works with clients who are delivering large projects to ensure that projects are delivered effectively, within budget etc. The role holder will be responsible for supporting the FSRR function. Both Commercial Assurance and FSRR have ambitious business strategies and growth targets making it an exciting and challenging working environment.
Knowledge and interest in the following areas is appreciated:
• Supply chain management incl. tiering/risk segmentation of supplier population
• Business criticality analysis; definition of metrics for risk ranking
• Supplier selection processes (requirement specification, RFI, RFP, contacting)
• IT processes and systems analysis and improvement
• Design and review of key performance indicators and their measurement
• Enterprise wide risk identification and management
• FS regulatory and compliance requirements
• Procurement processes
• Design of assurance models
• Contact compliance reviews and financial audit of contacts
• Review, and design of procurement/supplier management processes
• Graduate or equivalent qualification
• Professional Qualification. E.g. CA
• A sound business understanding, commercially and risk aware
• Experience from within the Financial Services sector
• Excellent communication skills, in particular writing and editorial ability
• Excellent people and relationship management skills, with the ability to operate and manage stakeholders at all levels within a complex matrix environment
• Self-starter, strong analytics/problem solving
• Excellent project management and organisation skills
• Positive, 'can-do' approach
• Empathy & Resilience
