In April 2013, PwC entered into a Joint Venture with Pensions First to develop the market leading online pensions risk analytics platform, Skyval. This is a real first for PwC and is in essence a start-up business. As part of this venture we are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager.
PwC is looking for a strong, credible senior manager level candidate to join the Skyval operations team to lead the Skyval marketing programme (as part of the broader Clients and Markets Development (CMD) function)
The role will require compelling leadership at Partner stakeholder level. It will require excellent influencing and communication skills in order to be credible and make an impact on senior management and all levels of the business, as well as the external audience. A vital part of that will be driven by a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers for PwC, the market and our clients.
The successful candidate will be confident in their ability to work alongside the programme partner sponsor and unafraid to challenge where needed.
About the role
As the Senior Marketing Manager your role will include the following responsibilities:
• Leads the Skyval marketing programme, taking responsibility for and evolving a results-driven strategy aligned to firmwide priorities.
• Responsible and accountable for developing reporting, KPIs and strategic segmentation of client to keep the programme commercial and relevant.
• Educate the XLOS senior management about the value of Skyval, confidently articulating its potential to clients.
• Provide expert advice on the most appropriate approach, content and channel mix and is accountable for ensuring that quality and brand standards are always upheld
• Define short and long-term ROI measures and takes responsibility for delivery and evaluation of ROI on specific campaigns.
• Work effectively with other parts of the operations team & broader CMD - including business development and operations.
• Be part of the HRS marketing team and work on other HRS projects as and when required
The following skills are required for this role:
• Strong experience of devising, agreeing and leading internal and external campaigns as well as leading a team of marketing, communication and business development specialists • Strong relationship building skills, being able to build a network across PwC, GRPs, CMD, BULs etc • Be a senior member of the team with a voice at the leadership table; • Be creative • Have the ability to sell own ideas to all levels of seniority; • Be a strategic and commercial thinker who is able to see the big picture and wider firm interests; • Be forward thinking and open minded; • Have strong communication and influencing skills - the ability to influence at all levels by flexing their style and understanding their agenda. • Be able to multi-task; • Be able to communicate clearly, keeping stakeholders abreast of current status on a variety of topics; • Not afraid to challenge the status quo to add value; • Strong relationship skills, building a network across the practice;
