Job Description Victim Support is the national charity helping over 750,000 people affected by crime every year. As we face the challenges and opportunities of developing and delivering our services nationwide, we are looking for outstanding people to drive the organisation forward. We are looking for professionals who have extensive experience of working with children and young people, and share our passion for supporting victims and witnesses of crime. In particular children and young people who are have been victims of crime. This project is funded by MOPAC until 30 September 2015. All appointments will be subject to satisfactory checks made by the Disclosure & Barring Service. Children and Young People Caseworker
Salary: £22,430 PA plus London Weighting at £2,800 PA
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Fix Term Contract, extension subject to end of year review in September 2015
Location: London You will support the Children and Young People Project Manager by delivering innovative services for vulnerable CYP. You will maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness, by ensuring that service users' are involved in the design, delivery and evaluation of the services. You will also ensure that services comply with appropriate service guidance and policy frameworks. You will also be responsible for developing and enhancing local key stakeholder relationships.
You must have a proven track record in successfully developing and delivering creative and innovative services that meet the needs of CYP in a comparable role and within a service-driven organisation comparable to Victim Support. You will understand the current issues faced by CYP experiencing domestic abuse and relationship abuse, and will be able to develop creative solution focussed interventions with vulnerable CYP. It is also essential that you have the ability negotiate, advocate and influence others, as well as build effective volunteer teams and sustain relationships.
