The Mount Somerset Hotel and Spa is a stunning Regency country house hotel, set in four acres of beautiful grounds. Well established as one of the finest luxury hotels and restaurants in the region, The Mount Somerset has won a host of awards including two AA Rosettes for outstanding cuisine and four AA stars for comfort and hospitality

The hotel forms part of the Eden Hotel Collection, which is a small group of privately owned unique places to stay offering the finest cuisine and extraordinary hospitality and combines traditional character with contemporary style to create a relaxed and welcoming home away from home for every guest, whether for business or pleasure. The dedicated team draw on a wealth of experience to ensure a memorable and comfortable stay for our guests.

We are now seeking an experienced Chef De Partie to join our Kitchen team, who will produce quality food in line with our 2 AA rosette standard. The successful candidate will also have excellent attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Main duties will include:

To lead by example and ensure all procedures (RASSOW,HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH and Food Safety Management) are maintained to the required standards to which training has been received, and are being followed by all kitchen members.
To manage and deliver the production needs of the section to the required standards.
To report all important issues back to senior chefs.
To communicate effectively within the section and the kitchen environment.
To manage time through effective planning of work, maintaining a high level of productivity.
To motivate team members through positive behaviour.
To utilise coaching skills and demonstrate the development of other team members.
To be creative and assist in dish and menu development.
To participate in the organisation of ordering, cost controlling and wastage of food.
To work calm under pressure.
To support decisions made and adapt to changes, showing flexibility and enthusiasm
To implement and follow strict rules of personal hygiene.
To show alertness, vigilance and attention to detail of all work.
To be proactive in self-development.
To promote the image of The Eden Hotel Collection as a professional organisation.
