PwC has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to join their dynamic Client and Market Development team in the Wales & South West region. Our team members bring deep skills and experience in all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and client facing business development. We work with Partners and staff, and directly with clients, to help create and deliver the firm's market strategy and in particular to achieve:
• Revenue growth.
• Enhanced relationships and networks.
• A distinctive brand experience for our clients.
The successful Senior Business Development Manager will be credible and highly motivated to play a strategic role in driving business development for named priority accounts, with a focus on achieving revenue growth. This will be achieved via both direct client relationship management and by driving best practice business development activities within the region's priority account teams to deliver return on investment and revenue conversion. The role will also incorporate people management responsibility within the CMD Opportunity Management community.
About the role
• Responsible and accountable for both external client facing and internal business development activities which lead to revenue growth.
• Focus on regional priority account portfolio, comprising a mix of target, growth and maintain accounts.
• Establishing and implementing a business development strategy, leveraging business development knowledge and best practices from across PwC.
• Engaging with clients and targets.
• Ensuring messages and learnings from Client Feedback are shared and acted upon to help increase opportunity conversion and client satisfaction.
• Working with other CMD teams to ensure that the Firm's insight, thought leadership and marketing campaigns (relevant to your regional priority accounts) are properly targeted, driven and deliver return on investment
• People management of others within the CMD Opportunity Management community
• Leading and contributing to ad-hoc business development projects or activities that improve revenue generating capabilities and outcomes for wider CMD team or Wales & West region
• Role modelling and sharing insight and experience across other regional CMD teams
• Working with regional and national CMD colleagues, to ensure a seamless approach and best practice delivery to our Partners, staff and clients; and contributing to the continual improvement of our function.
• Detailed knowledge and experience of the end to end business development process, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Track record of revenue generation through client facing account management activities at a high level within complex organisations, including owning and managing senior relationships.
• The proven ability to develop accounts, through relationship management, driving and developing opportunities that lead to revenue growth.
• Ability to form strong relationships with PwC partners and staff at all levels, improving their BD effectiveness and revenue growth through effective challenge, powerful communication and influence.
• Sound business understanding and commercial risk awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at senior levels.
• Strong knowledge of Pursuit, Velocity, SPIN, Miller Heiman or another comparable relationship/sales methodology and proven experience in driving opportunities through to revenue.
