Business Development Manager - Corporate Business

The Eden Hotel Collection is a privately-owned collection, situated across 5 counties. While each property in the collection has its own unique character, all uphold impeccable standards of service, quality and attention to detail delivered by an exceptional team of experienced managers and devoted staff.

We are now seeking a Corporate Business Development Manager for the South West Region. The successful candidate will have previous experience within the Hospitality industry in a Business Development Role.

You will be responsible for actively promoting, selling and generating new corporate business for The Eden Hotel Collection in the South West. This will require development of new business for the hotel collection by direct sales appointments with an agreed target to achieve. To research and profile new company's regional and national that will produce solid accounts to negotiate corporate contracts with. A sound knowledge of the corporate agency side along with hotel yield practices and RFP agreements is essential.

Main duties will include:

To write sales plan in conjunction with Sales & Marketing Director, this will be reviewed every 3 months

To proactively develop new business for the hotel collection by direct sales appointments with an agreed target to achieve on a monthly basis

From sales leads compile information and quotations to achieve appointments

Refer Business within the collection to meet requirements

To drive occupancy in the right market segments within the collection

Develop along with Sales and Marketing Director a year planner in order to identify seasonal peaks and business trends within the collection

To research and profile new companies Regional and National that will produce business for the Hotels negotiating rates and hand over to the Hotel teams

To work on any leads generated from the Hotels including current clients and further business that can be developed from these from other sites and departments

To develop the Corporate Data base including key information about each company

To negotiate rates and corporate contracts, ensuring theses are communicated throughout the team and to each individual Hotel

To initiate and co-ordinate fam trips, conduct show rounds on site and follow up details

To organise and manage regular "hosted lunches and dinners" with key business contacts

To represent the collection at exhibitions and shows to raise brand awareness, specifically targeting the corporate market

To be aware and have a full understanding of local markets and national trends

To review and address competitor pricing as and when needed for the individual Hotels

To co-ordinate enquiries with the individual Hotels

Fully evaluate your activities and make recommendations for the future initiatives and memberships

Regularly review sales strategy with the General Managers and Sales & Marketing Director

Provide a detailed monthly activity report to Sales & Marketing Director
