PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) is one of the world's largest professional services organisations. PwC advises clients across a range of sectors, including regulated sectors such as financial services.
PwC Augment is a new business launched by the organisation. It is a separate service offering with a discrete group of employees dedicated to it. PwC Augment specialises in providing multi-disciplinary resources to our global client base, including investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds and other financial services institutions including insurance.
In particular, PwC Augment's Financial Services team supports our global financial services client base on major implementation projects, such as compliance and regulatory change, remediation and redress programmes, operational and finance transformations, technology implementations, restructuring and divestment initiatives and acquisitions and mergers.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high growth team, where you will play a key role in the support and development of a key PwC service offering. Progression opportunities exist for motivated and exceptional performers, and all successful candidates will be provided with structured training and professional development enabling them to meet the requirements of this responsive and fast paced team.
Due to the unique requirements of PwC Augment, candidates must be flexible and be prepared to work from international client locations for the duration of the client engagement.
Responsibilities will vary by engagement and skillset, but may include:
Finance & Accounting
• Gathering/collation of financial information from both electronic and manual (documentary) sources
• Financial input - spreadsheets and/or proprietary systems
• Financial calculations - using software tools and packages (proprietary and off-the shelf)
• Financial analysis - as above but with a specific purpose/objective
• Financial reporting - detailed and summary analyses (by transition, time period or categorisation)
Legal & Compliance
• Document collation - evidencing paper trail of transactions
• Case and documentation review - analysing legal and other documents to identify key facts, anomalies, etc, for categorisation
• Data input - of key information into spreadsheets and or proprietary systems
• Reporting - detailed and summary analyses (by transition, time period or categorisation)
• Contract reviews - analysing if requirements are adequately defined and documented
• Complaint handling and Customer redress
• Regulatory remediation and quality compliance testing
Technology & Data
• Manual data sourcing - searching and extracting data from multiple sources (including electronic and manual (documentary) sources)
• Manual data cleansing - prior to input and processing, or existing data which has been corrupted
• Data input - spreadsheets and/or proprietary systems (new data or corrections/updates to existing data)
• System upgrades, integration or decommissioning - manual support to parallel running, testing, remodelling, etc
• Data processing - using software tools and packages (proprietary and off-the shelf)
• Data analysis - categorising and interpreting data, but with a specific purpose/objective in mind
• Reporting - detailed and summary analyses (by transition, time period or categorisation)

Applicants should ideally have most or all of the following:
• Minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant subject (Business/Accountancy, Legal or technology related degrees). • Candidates with 2:2 degrees, but who have relevant experience and/or qualifications, will be considered; • Any other relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous.
• Candidates should ideally possess relevant work experience, preferably in a corporate environment
• Ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to work; • Ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and work under tight deadlines; • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow direction; • Self-starter and motivated to succeed; • Professionally sceptical mind-set; • Proven ability to be a team player, while retaining ability to work independently with little supervision; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and • Aptitude for learning new software and IT applications
• Flexible and be prepared to work from international client locations for the duration of engagements.
