Job Description

The Benefits Officer will act as the ambassador for HCA's benefits programme and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of HCA's employee benefits including pension. The post holder will focus on benefit administration, customer service/end user experience and continuous improvement to maximise the company's return on benefits investment.

This is a full time and permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary package dependent upon candidate experience. Along with a competitive salary, the incumbent will also receive 25 days holiday, private healthcare and our company flexible benefits scheme.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the co-ordination of compensation and benefits including pay reviews, pensions and flexible benefits. This includes defined benefit (final salary) and defined contribution (money purchase) pension schemes.
  • Process vendor invoices relating to HCA employee compensation and benefits including the staff scheme and final salary pension scheme.
  • Act as liaison between scheme members (employees) and third-party providers of the company benefits package, as and when required, to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Ensure that staff members throughout the HCA UK are aware of their compensation and benefits package though effective use of internal communication channels such as new starter inductions, the company intranet, newsletters and by working closely with local HR teams.
  • Liaise with external advisers and consultants such as Mercer and KPMG on aspects of reward administration such as pensions and salary benchmarking.
  • Undertake ad-hoc project work as directed by the Head of Reward or Group Reward Partner.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience of working in an administrative role.
  • Experience in administering workplace benefits programmes is highly desirable.
  • Experience of job evaluation is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to deal efficiently with pension and benefits enquiries.
  • Education qualifications of GCSEs/A Level.
