PwC's Corporate Finance practice is seeking a Manager to join its growing Aviation team. The focus of the role will be aviation market analysis, policy, impact analysis, infrastructure transaction support and economic regulation; however broader relevant experience especially in commercial aviation would be advantageous. The key aspect of the role would be coaching junior staff in the aviation sector and analytical techniques.
Globally PricewaterhouseCoopers is one of the leading providers of advisory services in the infrastructure market, which includes our fast growing Aviation team. Within the Aviation team we provide a range of services to our public and private sector clients on a range of commercial, economic, financial, policy and regulatory issues.
PwC's Corporate Finance team in the UK is looking to accelerate its growth with transport being a key priority sector. In joining our team you can play a part in supporting our growth plans.
About the role
Working as a Manager within the team, the role will involve the following:
• Day-to-day management of projects
• Acting as the key point of contact for clients
• Overseeing the work of project teams and coaching junior staff
• Advising on commercial and regulatory aspects of infrastructure transactions, either on the buy or sell side
Advising on regulatory aspects of public sector commercialisation or privatisation programmes
• Supporting business development activities, including building client relationships, identifying opportunities and pitching for work
• Developing and maintaining internal and external network to be used for both business development and sourcing of funding
Although the role is London-based, the initial months of the role will require a substantial portion of time to be spent in the Belfast office , coaching a junior team
We would expect interested applicants to be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
• Extensive knowledge of and experience within the airport / airline sector
• Consulting experience - working with different client types including independent developers, financial investors, utilities and public sector clients
• Ability to successfully lead project teams, develop team members and work collaboratively
• Ability to plan and write complex reports for a variety of audiences
• Strong analytical skills and ability to think laterally
• Ability to grasp complex commercial and financing issues quickly
• Strong attention to detail combined with ability to see the big picture
• Ability to work accurately under time pressure and manage multiple commitments
• Ability to convert analysis into various outputs to present results in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to synthesise robust arguments and defend them in an articulate manner
• Excellent client facing skills and history or significant client exposure
Whilst not a requirement the following additional experience and skills would be advantageous:
• Infrastructure transaction experience, working on either the buy or sell side
Experience of the wider transport sector
• Evidence of existing network of client relationships and track record of revenue generation

First class or 2:1 degree in relevant subject, including both numerate and literate skill sets
