The PwC Norwich office is currently looking to recruit experienced Audit Senior Associates to complement our existing team.
Norwich is a thriving city, rich in history, that's centred in the rolling fields and expansive skies of Norfolk. The beautiful Norfolk coastline and the broads are a 30-minute drive away. It also has excellent sporting and leisure facilities and it is rated in the top ten cities for shopping in the UK.
The Norwich office is located in the city centre close to the River Wensum and has approximately 160 partners and staff across several different service lines. The size of the office facilitates strong working relationships, which are enhanced by the numerous social and sporting activities offered by the office, including football and cricket teams, team-building away days, summer and Christmas parties and more informal nights out.
About the role
As a Senior Associate within our Norwich office you will be required to do the below and you must therefore have this experience, gained in previous roles:
• Provide audit and business advice to a variety of clients • Provide an on-site co-ordination role for audit clients including planning, day to day control of the audit team, liaising with clients and completing audit assignments • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and established audit clients • Work and liaise with other members of the audit team and colleagues in other parts of the firm as necessary to provide high quality clients service • Report directly to a partner, director, senior manager or manager • Have supervisory responsibility for teams of up to 10 people • Coach and train other staff; and, • Strong business awareness, sound reporting skills and the ability to work under your own initiative
Some assignments may require travel and staying away from home.

Essential skills
• ACA qualified or equivalent • Must be educated to degree level • Have significant auditing experience • Experience of financial reporting frameworks such as UK GAAP or IFRS and auditing frameworks such as UK ISAs • Extensive experience of the audit from planning to completion, across a diverse range of assignments • Flexibility in your approach to meeting goals as part of the team • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels • A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships and providing exceptional client service • A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions • Candidates will also be required to demonstrate the ability to contribute to new initiatives, whether building relationships with target clients or other business development activities • A reasonable degree of flexibility in relation to travel will be expected to serve the regional nature of our client base
Other relevant competencies include financial reporting frameworks such as UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing frameworks such as UK ISA's. US GAAP would also be an advantage as would experience of working with a Big 4 Professional services environment.
