Akton Recruitment currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator in the Housing Department in the Local Authority in the London area

Main Purpose of the Job

To coordinate antisocial behaviour reduction activities, across a range of agencies within the borough: including registered providers of housing, the police and other statutory and voluntary organisations.

To work collaboratively with the Council's enforcement teams, registered providers of housing, the police and communities to provide a joined-up approach to tackling antisocial behaviour, with an emphasis upon repeat and vulnerable victims.

To coordinate the Joint Action Group (JAG) multi-agency problem solving meetings.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Case Management duties and responsibilities:

To undertake investigations into complex ASB cases where risk of victim harm and vulnerability is a feature and develop and case manage multi-agency plans to safeguard victims and reduce ASB.
Ensure that appropriate advice, information and support is given to complainants / victims about the progress of cases, providing timely and accurate responses to all enquiries.
Make appropriate referrals to local services and organisations ensuring that a range of support is provided to victims and witnesses.Joint Action Group (JAG) duties and responsibilities:
To be responsible for coordinating one of the two the monthly JAG meetings and acting as the Council Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all organisations in regard to the meeting. Summary of activities:

Reviewing all JAG referrals and managing the processes to research and build a case file for each referral;
Working collaboratively with the Police SPOC to develop a deep and broad assessment of the issues and risks for each referral;
Provide the Chairs with a report regarding each of the new referrals and recommendations for next steps;
Provide all secretariat support for the JAG meetings;
Tracking all actions to ensure actions are completed as agreed and outcomes achieved;
Providing advice and guidance to partner agencies in regard to problem solving and the JAG process;
Acting as the Single Point of Contact for all partner agencies in regard to problem solving advise, assistance and guidance.
Providing training and development opportunities to JAG members and their organisations; and
Developing effective relationships with all partners to assure broad commitment and gain useful intelligence and information relevant to the meetings.Anti-Social Behaviour Partnership duties and responsibilities:

To work in partnership with the Councils enforcement officers, police and registered providers of housing to ensure that there is a joined up approach to tackling antisocial behaviour; including environmental ASB and location based issues as well as for complainants / victims and perpetrators.
Develop effective working relationships with a broad range of organisations and groups to support intelligence gathering and to respond to ASB issues.
Lead on the Community Trigger referral processes.
To maintain an up to date expert level of knowledge of the policy, legislation and evidence based interventions which inform this area.
Provide a "hub of expertise" advising council officers from all business groups and the wider partnership organisations on ASB problem solving approaches and models.
To maintain an understanding of the council's wider commitments and ambitions and how this area of work supports the council in achieving these.
To ensure that the work of the Community Safety Team actively promotes equal opportunities.
