Administrative Assistant - London

NOTE: Hours for this role will be 9:30am-3pm. Initially the role will be for a fixed term contract, but it has the potential to become permanent if desired.

OVERVIEW: Under the supervision of Administrative Manager, Team Manager or Lead Paralegal, the Administrative Assistant provides general administrative support to legal teams. This position ensures that documents are accurately prepared to meet deadlines and to deliver client service to both external and internal clients (i.e. other Firm departments-when necessary).


  • Provide general administrative support to legal teams
  • Perform general copying
  • Send faxes and scan documents
  • Retrieve and return files
  • Perform general file up-keep including filing away paperwork
  • Assist with projects as related to the practice
  • Create physical files for new cases
  • Create labels for files
  • Prepare shipping labels and letters and collate packets for employer/client copies
  • Utilize in-house database as per instructions
  • Work with others to maintain the order of the centralized filing cabinets
  • Collect recycled papers from Attorneys and Paralegals and dispose in shredding bins


  • Other duties as assigned


Skills and Abilities:

  • General office clerical skills (e.g. phones, typing, filing, etc.)
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle heavy workloads
  • Good command of the English language
  • Excellent customer service
  • Positive and friendly attitude


  • 1+ years work experience in an office environment required, 3 years experience preferred

Minimum Education Level:

  • Secondary School completed
