Vendor Manager

Job Summary:

As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Vendor Manager – Supplies Manufacturing’s mission is to manage the relationship with the EMEA vendor located in Poland for the manufacturing & Customization of Supplies. Maintaining and monitoring the cost model in place with the vendor as per the contractual agreement in place. Ensure first level escalation for all commercial aspect as appropriate. As needed/requested, ensure first level escalation for engineering aspect which impacts cost. The role suitable for a Business oriented person who has some Engineering background or for an Engineer oriented person who has some business type background.




  • Provide finance and Planners with an outlook revised on a monthly basis
  • Monitor monthly cost performance: actual vs OL & actual vs standard
  • Resolve invoicing issues
  • Manage daily operational issues, especially emergencies
  • Set priorities and ensure they are properly managed
  • Ensure that the system is properly updated on timely manner
  • Maintain processes and propose enhancements
  • Manage Supplier performance and organize Supplier Performance reviews
  • Ask for quote when relevant
  • Validate quote received
  • Manage/update price in SAP
  • Negotiate price/actions within agreed boundaries with the Sourcing and Operation Manager
  • Produce weekly and monthly reporting of the activities on a timely manner
  • Measure and report the performance of each activity on a regular basis
  • Maintain a list of metrics and key indicators
  • Ensure a crisp follow-up of the action plans


  • BA or BSc degree in Business or Engineering field
  • Experience/understanding of Supplier Relationship Management implications
  • 2 to 3 years experience in Vendor Management
  • Excellent team player
  • At ease with numbers and data manipulation
  • Experience in matrix organization is a plus
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills
  • Excellent analyzing skill and summarization skill
  • Ability to drive initiatives
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and changing environment
  • Rigorous, well organized and able to manage priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent English
  • Systems: advanced knowledge of ERP (SAP), MS Office (Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
