VAT Coordinator

What you will be doing:


  • Coordinating the End to End VAT Reporting
  • Ensure timely submission of VAT / Intrastat/ EC Sales reports with VAT Team for Europe
  • Ensure compliance and timeliness of Factory/Sales / DCs VAT reporting and its timeliness
  • Manage and coordinate tax(VAT) audits at the time of their occurrence
  • Provide training and educating colleagues in VAT matters
  • Provide advice for VAT related questions to other departments (Sales, Order Desk, Controlling)
  • Administration, calculation and submitting of Hungarian VAT Returns
  • Other local TAX responsibilities (calculation, administration and submission)
  • Continues improvement of VAT process
  • Standardization with the aim to achieve End –to –End VAT process within the team
  • Initiate the IT improvements form VAT site
  • Take an advisory role in new Distribution Center implementations associated with VAT aspects


Requirements that make you the best candidate:


  • Degree in finance or accounting
  • Professional experience in finance or accounting of at least 4 years
  • Strong European VAT compliance experience at least 3 years, preferably gained in a shared service centre or an EMEA Tax Department or Big Four
  • Being initiative and take ownership of the task
  • Excellent problem solving and proactive mindset
  • Self-motivated personality
  • Customer focused approach
  • Attention to accuracy and details
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Strong communications skills in English
  • Confident knowledge with ERP Systems’ finance modules
