Pan'Artisan is a profitable, privately owned food manufacturing company making Bakery products for the foodservice industry. Key products include Topped Pizzas, Pizza Doughballs, Pizza Bases, Garlic Bread and other specialty Italian breads. This ambitious business is seeking to appoint a Technical Supervisor to undertake a range of Auditing and Technical activities and play a key role in the development of the business.
Working Hours Monday - Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm
Although this role does not involve managing a team, it does involve taking full responsibility for all site Technical matters and managing the associated documentation. This includes Quality Assurance (Auditing of Complaints, Specifications, Laboratories, Traceability) and Operational Administration (Procedures, Policies, Liaise with Production Manager on changes in forms/documents).
Other duties include: Implement Quality Control procedures, establishing quality standards, managing the BRC Accreditation, reporting Technical findings to the Board, COSHH management, Supervising the Pest Control contractor, Auditing of different operational departments to ensure compliance with BRC standard, liaison with Environmental Health, Trading Standards, and Health & Safety Executive.
The Technical Supervisor will conduct random quality control testing of products and document results and ensure all product control forms and product specifications are current and regularly reviewed. The jobholder will maintain up-to-date knowledge of raw materials associated with allergens, and monitor their presence on site in conjunction with HACCP team members. This varied role will also involve HACCP Auditing, reporting findings to Directors, propose corrective actions on non-compliance, and implement actions within an agreed timeframe.
We are seeking a proven track record in Food Technology gained in a Food Manufacturing Company, combined with an understanding of British Retail Consortium Accreditation (BRC). Applicants should hold a Basic Food Handling certificate, be excellent communicators able to use their analytical "mind-set" to problem-solve.
As this role will involve Auditing (internal & external), Certificated Auditing skills relating to BRC requirements would benefit an application.
